So I realized recently that USPS removed the ability to add tracking to packages shipped international. So, I called USPS about it and she verified that yes, in fact, there is no way to track international packages (the medium and large flat rate boxes have pseudo tracking but she said it’s not really tracking at all, it just says when it has left the country not even if it has been delivered)
So I called Paypal knowing that their buyer protection is only valid if a package has tracking - The PP rep verified my fears. They know about it and yes, USPS is NOT valid for buyer protection! She said the only way to get it is using UPS and FedEx because they have true tracking.
IF YOU USE USPS TO SHIP INTERNATIONAL PACKAGES YOU ARE LOSING BUYER PROTECTION - YOU ARE NOT SAFE FROM PP DISPUTES AS A SELLER WHEN USING THEIR SERVICE.

The one good thing I can say about Canada Post is that tracked shipping to the USA is incredibly reasonable. It’s about 20-25 dollars.Why USPS won’t offer the same for Canada, I will never know.
